Holiday home in Trowan, St Ives

Haulfre is an architect designed traditional Cornish granite house and garden in a spectacular cliff-top setting near St Ives. The house looks over fields and National Trust land towards dramatic cliffs and seascapes, with wonderful sunsets to the west. A lovely twenty minute (three quarters of a mile) entirely traffic free walk over fields and clifftops brings you to the quaint old fishing village of St Ives, with its beaches, cafes, harbour and galleries.

Beautifully renovated to a high standard, Haulfre has a wood burning stove and Cornish granite floors, a stylish well equipped kitchen and three double bedrooms, one en-suite.

A large comfortable lounge leads onto a spacious patio with views of moorland, sea and hills. In this perfectly peaceful and secluded setting the only sound is birdsong and, in the distance, the sea. The house has two parking spaces on the edge of the hamlet and is therefore traffic free and completely safe for children.

'Haulfre' means 'sunny place' in old Welsh and there are secluded corners to sit and catch the sun throughout the day. There is garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals. Children especially have a sense of freedom here and are welcome to play in the surrounding fields.
